Leadership Team

Stephen and Corissa Olson

Stephen hails from sunny Southern Oregon, while Corissa is from right here in beautiful Bremerton. They love life in the Pacific Northwest. When it's cloudy, they hike. When it's sunny, they take their camper to the coast. And when it's rainy, they read novels. They have been married for fourteen years and have three children who have already surpassed them with their math skills.

Ben and Ruby Scheffer

Worship Leaders

Ben and Ruby both grew up in the Pacific Northwest and have been married for eleven years. Together they enjoy good friends, good music, and sick beanies.  They are always up for a fun adventure, a challenging hike, or a deep conversation.

Mary Ann Liebmann

Church Administrator, Children's Director, and Board Member

Mary Ann has worn many hats during her time at Discovery, and she has worn them all well.  Norman and Mary Ann have lived in Bremerton for almost fifty years. Together they enjoy good coffee, day trips to the coast, and evenings with a good movie.  Mary Ann is a rare church super hero who can put on a puppet show, balance a budget, and make a mean macchiato, all on one Sunday.

Nicholas Roberts

Media Director

Nick is smooth like chocolate, sharp like caffeine, and spicy like sriracha. He makes everything better. Nick grew up in Bremerton and enjoys the films, art, and culture of the Pacific Northwest. His video-editing skills will probably land him in bigger roles or bigger churches, but until that day comes, we will continue to sabotage his applications.

Pele Leiataua

Board Member, Worship Team Member

Pele has been a part of our church for fifteen years and feels a special calling to the people of downtown Bremerton.  Pele and his wife, Jaime, enjoy the company of eight kids and thirteen grandkids who live in the area, which means they never get bored. Pele can fill in almost anywhere on the church worship team and he has a heart that is full of love for God.

Ida Mae Cooper

Board Member, Frequent Gathering Host

Ida Mae is a friend to all. She has seen it all, done it all, and been through it all. She weathers every storm with wisdom and grace, and our church often relies on her for guidance. Ida Mae has many kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids in western Washington. She enjoys puzzles, reading, and watching baseball with her dachshund.
Do you think you'd make a good fit on our team? Do you have secret church super hero skills? Do you want to help lead and plant churches in Kitsap? Send us an e-mail and introduce yourself! We would love to get to know you and hear your story.
